Alberto Benrey joined Investment Placement Group in 1999. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in sales and management positions in the United States of America and Mexico including seven years as manager at Discount Bank and Trust Company in Mexico City. Prior to that, he was founder/owner at Orofac Factoraje Financiero for four years in Mexico City. At Investment Placement Group his major responsibilities have been in the areas of the private client group and international operations. In 2011, he was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Broker Dealer and he is also the Chief Executive Officer of IPG Investment Advisors LLC . He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego, and his MBA from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He has served as a member of different advisory boards in San Diego and Mexico. Currently serves on the board of the ADL San Diego office and on the Board of AEM asociaión de empresarios Mexicanos San Diego Chapter.
